ENCOUNTERING BUCHAREST AGAIN
A major musical reading brings together three exceptional artists around the texts of the festival’s guests: Gabriela Adameșteanu, Laura Nicolae, and Bogdan-Alexandru Stănescu. The Romanian actress and performer Adriana Butoi, with an international career spanning theater, performance, and socially engaged art, lends her voice to contemporary writings. She shares the stage with actor and director Olivier Martinaud, experienced on stage, on air, and in literary festivals, recognized for his skill in reading and interpretation. Pianist Théodore Paraskivesco, master of the French repertoire and heir to Nadia Boulanger’s school, weaves a counterpoint of rare sonic intensity. Together, they create a dialogue between literature and music in a sensitive and immersive polyphony.
