Polish theatre director Anna Gryszkówna made her debut in 2016 with Solstice by Gordon McIntyre and David Greig. She is particularly interested in female characters and the stories of remarkable women, to whom she has dedicated, in particular: Ginczanka, Simona K. Calling into the Wilderness and My Name Is Anna Walentynowicz. She also directed Szymborska: Dots, Commas, Cigarettes. For The Taming of the Shrew, she received an honour at the 2018 Golden Yorick Awards.
