BOGUSŁAW BACHORCZYK, painter, sculptor, draughtsman, multimedia artist and exhibition curator, graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 1998. He heads the 3rd Interdisciplinary Studio at the Faculty of Painting there. A scholarship holder of the City of Nuremberg and winner of the Józef Czapski Scholarship, he was awarded the Rector’s Prize, 3rd class (2012) and 2nd class (2017), for his artistic and educational achievements, the City of Kraków Creative Grant on two occasions (2019 and 2023), and the Gloria Artis bronze medal for cultural merit in 2019. He works at the intersection of various media: painting, sculpture and photography. He employs a DIY approach and combines traditional craft techniques with modern media. His works are sometimes presented as installations incorporating elements of performance.
