Laura Pozzi began her career as an illustrator for children’s books and toys, as well as educational publications. Originally from Italy, she settled in Angoumois following a residency at the Maison des Auteurs in 2016. Since then, she has worked with several Italian and international publishers, and for a time worked as a character designer for animated films (including Barbapapa, amongst others). The Last Forest: The Unforgettable Beauty of the Białowieża Primeval Forest and the Story of its Guardian, Simona Kossak (Actes Sud, 2026) is her first graphic novel.
