Marcin Czaja is a painter, draughtsman and designer. He studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where he obtained his Master’s degree in 2011 in Professor Jacek Waltoś’s studio. Ten years later, in 2021, he defended his doctoral thesis at the same university under the supervision of Professor Mirosław Sikorski. He currently holds the post of senior lecturer in the First Painting Studio at his alma mater. In his artistic practice, in addition to easel painting, he devotes himself to drawing, graphic design and large-scale mural painting. He has created numerous monumental works of public art and has won several national competitions for the design and execution of murals. He designed the festival poster.
