Born in 1965 in Warsaw, Paweł Łoziński comes from a family with close ties to the film industry: his father, Marcel Łoziński, is himself a leading Polish documentary filmmaker, whilst his brother, Mikołaj Łoziński, is a writer. Paweł Łoziński is one of the leading figures in contemporary Polish documentary cinema. His career is characterised by three key elements: his family’s cinematic heritage, his interest in personal stories, and his very direct approach to the people he films. His documentaries often transform everyday situations into more universal reflections on memory, family, old age, love and the human condition
