Simonetta Greggio, an Italian, is a writer, screenwriter and radio producer. She has published around fifteen novels and several collections of short stories with Stock, Flammarion and Albin Michel. More recently, she has focused on environmental themes, with L’ourse qui danse (Cambourakis) and Un été en mer (Mondes Sauvages/Actes Sud). She has recently published Le Souffle de la forêt (Arthaud), a tribute to Simona Kossak (1943–2007), a Polish biologist, zoologist, professor of forestry, radio presenter and writer, who is often described as a ‘zoopsychologist’ due to her innovative approach to observing, understanding and interacting with wild animals.
