Susana Osorio-Mrożek, born in Mexico in 1951, studied drama and archaeology at the Universidad Veracruzana, and subsequently history at UNAM. From 1960 to 1985, she worked in theatre as an actress, assistant director and director of her own company. She met Sławomir Mrożek in 1979 and married him in Paris in 1987. Passionate about cooking, she worked in Scandinavia and ran several restaurants. In 2021, she published Sticker and Monster with Wydawnictwo Literackie in Kraków, a novel centred on her relationship with Mrożek. In 2025, she published The Apothecary Under the Ferns with the same publisher, a novel set in Kraków in the 16th century. She has lived in Barcelona since 2014.
