Tomasz Różycki (born in 1970) is a highly acclaimed Polish poet and winner of the Kościelski Foundation Prize, amongst other honours. After studying Romance philology at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, he taught French literature and language at the University of Opole. He has translated works by Stéphane Mallarmé, Arthur Rimbaud and Victor Segalen into Polish. Les Voleurs d’ampoules (translated into French by Isabelle Macor, Noir sur Blanc), his first novel, earned him the prestigious Grand Continent Prize in 2023.
